Print Fiend

Hey loves!! I hope your week is going well! Mine has been great, but I have soo much work to do in this next week. I didn't realize but I have a final and a group presentation both due on the same day. In 8 days! YIKES! Spring courses are almost done, how is that even possible?!

 This past Friday I got together with a bunch of my beautiful blogging buds and went to support the lovely Dress Me Dearly host a shopping party at American Apparel. It was so fun to get dressed up and see everyone!! I love how supportive and awesome everyone in Edmonton is. I got this dress a few weeks back and hadn't gotten to wearing it yet, I was apprehensive about the high/low trend but I'm really loving it. Besides this dress has such a fun print and so many colours! I was helpless to it.

Up in the Woods

 

Hey there!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I sure did. It's beautiful out and I'm loving it, life's good. I've cut my hours back a lot this week, so I shouldn't be doing 12 hour days everyday! :) 

These pictures are from out at the lake a little while ago. I absolutely love it out there, it's so peaceful and relaxing. It's only an hour outside the city but feels like it's really far away. It's such a beautiful place for a walk and casual outfit photos. I picked this super soft, cute zebra scarf up on my shopping spree with my best friend and I'm obsessed with it now! Zebras!! And this casual floral skirt is really comfortable and is great for the hot weather

Pastels

Hello there loves!! How's your weeks going? Mines good, got my midterm and presentation out of the way. I think they both went well so that's always a good feeling. Thank god this was a short week though, so much closer to the weekend!!
I am loving pastels for spring, it's funny because I used to wear A LOT of black, and hated really feminine pieces. Well look at me now. Wearing a heart print, pastel blue dress, and loving it. I should really count how much heart print I have in my wardrobe, I fear it's verging on excessive? I love the pale blue, neutral khaki, peach and orange hues all together, they're perfect for this time of year!

That Spring Thing

Hey loves! Did you all have a good long weekend? I really did, after last week I needed a couple days off. I have a midterm today (already!) and then a group presentation tomorrow so this week should be interesting as well.

On Saturday I made an effort to do absolutely no work whatsoever and it was kind of awesome. My best friend and I went for lunch, coffee, shopping, and then I drove out to the lake to spend the rest of the weekend with my family! When we were out and about we noticed my lens stopped working, my 17-85mm wasn't zooming any more. So off it goes to the camera doctor for 4-8 weeks. I was able to pick up a 50mm for really cheap though and am loving it. It's going to take a lot of getting used to!!

This is what I wore out and about, it was warm, but windy, and a little cold? I can never dress myself adequately at this time of the year, it's so confusing. I really do love the print on this dress, it's so very springlike although kind of on the short side. With my denim jacket and thick blush scarf though I was pretty comfortable

Tropicana

Oh Friday, you lovable little scoundrel. How happy I am to see you! And on a long weekend no less, it has been a long week so I need some time to relax. I have a doctors appointment today for a check up. Today marks the first time they attempted to fix my heart 2 years ago now. The first time they screwed up. It feels like more and less time all at once, funny how that happens! 

This look was a hit with the older ladies who frequent payless first thing in the morning. I was at work and got so many compliments on this. To be honest, I've had this combination in mind for months, I wanted to wait for it to be warm because this is a very summery and fun combination. Teal and mustard/yellow are definitely perfect together in my eyes! And who doesn't love wearing pineapples?!
